Toutley Depot

RCDC completed the MEP design and net zero carbon review for the renovation of the existing Toutley Depot.

The new depot will be a modular building site, including offices, staff accommodation, and EV charging stations. RCDC performed full energy predictions in line with CIBSE TM54 and assessed the decarbonisation options for the project business case.

RCDC designed and managed the utilities upgrades and phasing for the project, including creating phasing drawings. The team also assessed the feasibility of renewables maximisation, resulting in the site incorporating a PV array of over 1500m2. This is capable of generating over 250MWhrs annually and saves about 50tCO2 annually.

RCDC also undertook a review of the future electric vehicle capabilities of the site to assess the load requirements should contractors use more electric vehicles in the future.
