South Hampstead Junior School

The project involved significant refurbishment and boiler replacement of two buildings which make up the school, both historic in nature and located within a conservation and residential area. A key challenges of the project was upgrading the windows to double glazed units and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) in a conservation area.

Close collaboration with the architect the conservation officer was required to achieve the fabric improvements desired, alongside the switch from gas fired boilers to ASHP resulting in a 49% reduction in carbon emissions.
