International Maritime Organisation Building

RCDC were appointed to carry out a series of phased MEP upgrades at the International Maritime Organization headquarters in London. Delivered to RIBA Stage 4, the works focused on improving energy performance and modernising key systems within the occupied, operational building.

The scope included upgrading traditional fluorescent lighting to low-energy LED fittings across selected floors, alongside targeted BMS enhancements related to fan coil and mechanical systems.

A further commission involved a full lighting survey of the entire building from the Basement to 8th Floor, including plant rooms and rooftop areas, culminating in updated record drawings to identify and document existing installation.

All works were delivered in a live environment, requiring careful phasing and coordination to avoid disruption to day-to-day operations of the high-security governmental facility.
